The Women of St. Stephen

The mission of the Women of St. Stephen is to be a family of women who care for one another, and in so doing, build a foundation of love and spiritual well-being in our parish family. We enjoy helping our church and through the many activities we sponsor, help other people.

We provide opportunities for spiritual enrichment during the year, outreach activities to those in need, and social events to help promote a spirit of friendship among all St. Stephen parishioners.

Some of our activities include hosting the parish coffee social each month, holding bake sales, serving lunch at Merton House, setting up our Christmas Sock Tree for the benefit of Merton House, and scheduling a yearly overnight retreat. This year we added a day trip to Lourdes Shrine in Litchfield and two parish social activities – a Chili Cook Off contest and a pasta night with Father Henry (Pasta with Pastor!).

Our fund raising efforts have enabled the purchase of chairs for the new Parish Center, a new portable microphone system, liturgical accessories, and the painting of the church bathroom. We have also contributed to numerous charitable causes such as St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Mercy Ships, the Monastery of Our Lady of Grace and Blessed Sacrament Church.

Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at noon and we welcome all women of the parish to our membership. Come join us!
